Removing Mercury Amalgam Fillings

Mercury Toxicity and Chronic Health Issues

bigstock-Shiny-Mercury-39978211Many people may decide to have their mercury amalgams removed for preventive reasons but there are a good many who may be experiencing chronic health issues that appear to be related to heavy metal toxicity.

I have recently read “The Swiss Secret to Optimal Health” by Thomas Rau M.D..  Lauded as the “Mozart of medicine”, Dr. Rau is the world’s foremost practitioner of biological medicine.  He is the medical director of the Paracelsus Clinic in Switzerland and his program has proven effective time and again, especially for those with chronic conditions like allergies, arthritis, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and even cancer.

“Swiss biological medicine is holistic in that it sees each individual as unique and as a complete entity.  To effect a permanent solution, the symptom experienced by the patient needs an interpreter to divine its origin. Swiss biological medicine strives to diagnose and remove the underlying cause or causes, of an ailment.

Dr. Rau points out in his book that, “Very often, we find hidden causes for chronic diseases in the teeth.  Heavy metals from amalgam fillings and toxins from subclinical infections from old root canals are frequent causes of symptoms and impediments to healing.  Even trace amounts of mercury in the system for example, can lead to colitis, sinusitis or asthma”.

No matter how you have come to the decision, I urge you to choose who will remove your fillings and how, very carefully.  What you want to look for is a mercury safe dentist and since a universal consensus on protocol has yet to be reached for minimizing a patient’s exposure to mercury during removal, this could be a little difficult.

Remember, no dentist is under any legal obligation to provide patients with protection against mercury exposure during the removal process.  Mercury safe dentists provide different levels of protection to their clients because they believe it is the ethically right thing to do.  They believe these fillings are a health hazard to the client, the office staff where they are being removed as well as the environment.

I love getting feedback. Here on this blog, you’ll get commentluv. That’s a plug in that allows you to leave a link back to your own site when you leave a comment.

Until next time,
