By now, many of you who have been following my blog have to come to realize that I have some very strong reservations regarding the processes and materials used in many “traditional” dental offices. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I left one of these “traditional” dental offices and began to educate myself that I learned just how much I did not know. And one of those areas pertained to mercury amalgam fillings.
To quote Krishnamurti from “The Book of Life”
“What we call knowledge is comparatively easy, because that is movement from the known to the known. But to learn is a movement from the known to the unknown…”
I did not know that the mercury in amalgam fillings was not stable in our mouths and that it could be playing an enormous role in undermining our general health and well-being.
I did not know that even though some dentists no longer place mercury amalgam fillings that how the old ones are removed is just as important to our health and well-being.
I did not know that there are methods for testing mercury toxicity and protocols for removing it from our bodies in order to restore our health and well-being.
I have personally met and read about a number of dental professionals who subscribe to these truths and unfortunately, for most of them, it was because their health had been severely compromised that they began their search for the truth in the process of healing.
Personally, my overall health is quite good but there are some underlying symptoms that have me concerned, and as a result, I have decided to embark on the next leg of my journey into preventive health before my immune system can no longer handle the load.
On Monday, March 13th I will begin a Mercury Detoxification program as outlined in Dr. Tom McGuire’s book, “Mercury Detoxification, the natural way to remove mercury from your body”.
The next two weeks will provide a brief overview of the program, a description of the tests I will be undergoing and an introduction of the alternative health professionals I will be collaborating with. The next few months after this will be more akin to a journaling of my observations, feelings and insights as I learn from my body.
I have no idea what to expect and anticipate excitedly the movement from the known to the unknown!
How about you? Do you have concerns or health issues regarding mercury amalgam? I love getting feedback. Here on my blog, you’ll get commentluv. This is a plug in that allows you to leave a link back to your own site when you leave a comment.
Until next time,
